Meet Wendy, a 5-6 month old spayed kitten with special needs.  She is a CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) Kitty / Wobbler but aside from her funky walk she gets around just fine.  She runs around on carpeted or wood floors and while she is not the most graceful feline it doesn’t bother her at all to slip and slide to get where she wants to go.  Quite honestly she really is precious.

Wendy wants a human to play with or just sit or lean next to.  She is a quiet cat on the small side.  She plays with some toys, tosses little mice around and is learning ball-in-a-track.  She can track a laser with her eyes but cannot run after the red dot.  Her only limitation is that she cannot climb stairs especially those that are not carpeted.  She is best on one-level where she is more stable.

Wendy has perfect litter box manners and has no issue getting into a short litter box (5”) with lots of room to do her business.  Sometimes she falls over but rights herself with no problem.  Wendy has silky soft hair like a bunny.  Her tummy and throat and chest are all white and her paws are white with black splotches - like spilled paint - on them.  She eats canned and dry kitten food.

Of course we don’t know exactly how her story began, but we do know that she wandered on her own and was found hungry and alone.  We x-rayed her to be sure there was no broken bones or physical issues we could fix and she had full blood work to be sure there were no medical problems.   She is healthy and "perfect".

Wendy LOVES people and if you pick her up she will sit on your lap until you gently put her back on the floor – by the way, she has a great purr!  She taught herself to climb on the couch today and also was on the second level of a cat tree.  WOO HOO for her!

The adult cats in my foster home do not reach out to meet or interact with her yet.  It might be that they notice something is different in her….but a gentle and cat-loving dog should be fine.  Just no barking or chasing please!  Indoor only for her safety.  Adoption fee is $200.

For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.

Adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines, and negative FIV and FeLV test.  Wendy comes with a 30-day insurance policy offer.

Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
