About Willie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Housetrained: Yes
Willie was close to death when he was rescued. He was so malnourished that his skin hung in folds and his hair was patchy and he had to be shaved. (it is still growing back in - hence his current scruffy look but it will get better...Promise!) Due to lack of nutrition and water he was lucky to have not met the fate of the rest of his siblings. The only other survivor is his brother and buddy named Remy. Today due to good food like Rad Cat and clean and healthy surroundings, Willie is at the peak of his kitten-form and back to 100% of normal, maybe even 110% because he has tried so hard. No longer thin but with his hair growing in daily in silly patches of stick-out-everywhere we don't know how long his coat will be but I was told he was a medium to long-hair "before". He makes us laugh with his voie-de-vivre attitude and outgoing ways. He plays with older and younger kittens, doesn't know that he is bigger or smaller, he just likes everyone regardless. Due to his early starvation he is a big eater, prefers quality canned food and never misses a meal. You will love this little survivor as much as we do. What a character! His adoption fee is $120 and he is worth every penny. Adopt his brother Remy too - $200 for the pair. Contact his foster mom Marilyn for more details and to schedule a visit in his Hillsboro foster home, 503.312.4296 or go online to our website to complete an application to be considered to adopt at CatsCradleRescue.com/Adopt. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
